====== Moulding machines ====== Expansion of production and technical progress in general led to construction of the first hand-driven , referred to around 1900, which were used even for other types of cheese. Their capacity was up to 10,000 pieces per hour, but only in the case of more . Many curd cheese producers were conservative and claimed that from the machines "... the curd cheese is not so tasty ...". But Karel Pivný, successor and son in law of the greatest Loštice curd cheese producer Alois Wessels and his wife did not have any doubts about machine production, and around 1924 they purchased the first moulding machine in Germany, which became a model for the Loštice locksmith Francis Koegler, who then started production of these machines, and not only for Loštice. A new era in the curd cheese producer world has begun, associated with Alois Wessels descendants.
