The new Museum of Olomoucké tvarůžky, ceremonially opened on June 26th 2014. It provides wheelchair access. Individual tours are an option tailored to the visitor’s interest and time possibilities. The Museum presents a historical overview of this cheese since its very beginnings up to the present day in its modern expositions. Visitors enter former stables, where they begin their so called “Big Story“ about the history of Olomoucké tvarůžky and the house of Wessels. It starts with first mentions of Olomoucké tvarůžky production. Then it follows the production line all the way from processing of curd, through moulding and dipping, to packaging. The lives of each related personality show the beginnings of Olomoucké tvarůžky, the period before the First World War production, when the Wessels house became the largest producer of Olomoucké tvarůžky. The second floor is introduced with the original study of Karel Pivný, followed by the „Loštice Sokol cinema“ in a retro style as a reminder of the recent cultural past. The next room shows original exhibits of moulding the Olomouc cheese from Loštice and is summarised on a timeline. This whole journey is concluded with the mention of the period of socialisation of cheese factories and current production, the theme of a single room which leads into the gallery of photographs showing the transformation of the factory since the restitution in 1990.
