For 4 long decades (1950-1989) the communists only robbed the factory without investing in it. At the end of the 1980s, it was in a dilapidated condition and even considered for its liquidation. The velvet revolution (the fall of the communist regime) and restitution a year later saved it from the fate that befell most of the Olomouc cheese factories operating in 1948. In 1991, the descendants of the Wessels and Pivny families were faced with a difficult task: to get the totally devastated company back on its feet…

Groups of photos show the transformations of individual places in the premises of the company A.W. in Loštice from restitution in 1991 until 2014, when this museum opened.

  • gazebo at the end of the area behind the production hall,
  • warehouse on Hradská street in the lager cellars of the former brewery,
  • curd reception ramp,
  • cottage cheese warehouse,
  • the museum premises – the courtyard was partitioned to create its entrance part behind the passage from the street with a ticket office, toilet and research room,
  • Palackého 2 and 4, museum and entrance to the production area,
  • most of the area looked in 1990 as if the war had just ended here.
